Breakups are not mutual: Did Katrina Kaif just hint at her previous relationship?

The latest guests to grace Koffee With Karan season 7 are the Phone Bhoot stars Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. And many would definitely agree with us that this was by far one of the sassiest and spiciest episodes of KWK 7. From Katrina revealing many insights about her wedding and dating life with Vicky Kaushal, Ishaan also spoke about his breakup with Ananya Panday. Amidst the conversation about their breakup, Karan Johar stated that breakups are always mutual and Katrina Kaif was completely blown by his statement.

During the episode, Karan Johar addressed Ishaan and said, “You broke up with Ananya Panday.” To this Ishaan asked if that was true since KJO mentioned in Ananya’s episode that she was the one who broke up with him. Ishaan further said that it does not matter who broke up with whom, but confirmed that he is in fact, single now. When the Dhadak actor said that KJo was mean to Ananya on the show, defending himself, Johar said that he didn’t mean it that as breakups are always mutual.

Katrina stops the conversation and asks Karan about the same. “A breakup is always mutual?” this leaves Johar in splits as he apologies that not always. We wonder if this reminded Katrina of her past relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.

Earlier, Ranbir and Katrina were dating for some years before calling it quits in 2016. They met and apparently, Cupid struck on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and later worked in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti in 2009. Though they have never confirmed their relationship, it was reported that Katrina and Ranbir called it quits in 2016 during the shoot of Jagga Jasoos.

Now, both of them lead happy lives with their better halves, while the Tiger 3 actor married Vicky Kaushal in December 2021, and Ranbir married Alia Bhatt in April 2022.
