Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ that is based on the life of Queen of Mewar has been hit by a number of hurdles. But looks like the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ director is all set to overcome them. As per rumours in Bollywood circles, the filmmaker is apparently trying to keep the leading stars of his film happy by giving in to their demands now.
Sources said, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali is apparently going that extra mile to keep the leading actors of his film happy. He has been hosting script reading sessions, even re-writing the script altogether as per their demands.Now some more updates about the movie is being discussed, it reveals that the director has now hiked Shahid Kapoor’s fees by Rs 4 crore. Apparently Shahid agreed to play the role of Deepika Padukone’s husband in the film if the filmmaker hiked his fees and also rewrote the script to make his role as powerful as the others.”
Shahid Kapoor will be depicting the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh husband of Rani Padmavati that will be depicted by Deepika Padukone. Whereas Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of Sultan Allauddin Khilji, the man obsessed with the Queen’s beauty. Work on the movies lavish Sets that are Bhansali’s trademark have already begun and the film will soon go on floors.
