Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 will release tomorrow i.e. 11th August. Sunny is back as Tara Singh. On the other hand, Ameesha Patel is reprising her role of Sakina. The excitement to see the sequel is high among Sunny and Ameesha’s fans. Amid this, Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma has revealed that Sunny reduced his fees for the film.
Anil Sharma talks about Gadar 2’s low budget
The revelation came after he was asked about Gadar 2’s budget. For the uninitiated, Zee Studios are producing Gadar 2. Anil revealed that the film has been made on a low budget. He told Lehren Retro, “Log market me 80, 100, 150 bolte hain. Aisa kuch nahi hai, usase kam hai (People talk about figures of ₹80, 100 or 150 crore but our budget is nothing like that. It is much less).”
Sunny reduced his fees
Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma added that technicians and most actors agreed that the maximum budget of Gadar 2 may be allotted to production. Anil went on to add that everyone’s fees were controlled. When asked about Sunny, Anil said, “That is just one person, we managed that. And, to tell you the truth, even he reduced his fees a lot. These days, the actors’ and directors’ fees are too high, shooting the budget of films to ₹500-600 crore. Out of those, ₹150 or ₹200 crore is the hero’s share. What we thought was, to put the money in production.”

Sunny Deol reduced his fees for Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2.
Gadar 2 is a sequel to Anil Sharma’s Gadar: Ek Prem Katha which released in 2001. Sunny Deol’s will clash with Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 at the box office. Both the movies are releasing on 11th August.
