Digangana Suryavanshi on her role in ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’: My character is of a woman who broke the stereotypes

Actress Digangana Suryavanshi who will be soon starring in her next film which is a magnum opus titled, ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’ talks about her role in the film and how her dream of working in a period drama film like this got fulfilled.

Talking about the film, Digangana said, “I have always been a kind of a person who has loved larger than life cinema, I have been a huge fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir’s films. And luckily, I was offered ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’ where I got an opportunity to play a character who has many layers and is very nuanced.”

Furthermore, she also talked about what attracted her the most in the film. She said, “My character is of a woman who broke stereotypes back then when women were considered lesser than men. I am very grateful to Ramesh Thete sir who thought I would justify the part”. Digangana will be seen alongside Arjun Rampal in the film.

The film will be released in the second half of 2021 in multiplexes, theatres and also on RTF company’s own OTT platform. Recently, the first look posters and teaser of the film were launched.

On the professional front, Digangana will be next seen in the Telugu sports drama ‘Seetimaarr’ where she will be seen playing the role of a journalist.
