EXCLUSIVE: Dil Bechara was not going to be Sanjana Sanghi’s debut film? Actress reveals deets

Sanjana Sanghi is one of the rising stars in Bollywood, she made her Bollywood debut with Sushant Singh Rajput in the movie Dil Bechara which was based on the John Green novel The Fault In Out stars. But did you know that Dil Bechara was not going to be her debut movie, and in fact, she was going to start her Bollywood career with the movie Banana that also starred The Sky Is Pink star Rohit Saraf and The White Tiger actor Aadarsh Gaurav? But much to everyone’s disappointment, Banana was shelved. We set down for an exclusive chat with Sanjana Sanghi and asked the actress about this unreleased movie, Sanjana revealed that she had shot for the film before it was shelved leaving everyone in shock.

Sanjana told Bollywood Bubble, “It was impossible to process. Like Rohit’s journey on that film was very different and I was in the 12 grade at that time. I took 4-5 months away from my 12th grade before my pre broads to go and shoot this film and just do it and take the plunge. We gave it our all and it just didn’t see the light of the day.”

She further added, “I don’t think we have made sense of it still, when we even talk about it, we’ll be like how did that happen. It is what prepared us to be in sets for the rest of our lives. It’s been 7-8 years now, so I feel like it was our acting school. It was very challenging but then life moves on and it makes you so strong that you are better prepared.”

However, Sajana went on to act with Sushant Singh Rajput in Dil Bechara and the movie was immensely loved by the fans.
