After complaining of breathing issues legendary actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on 6th June. His wife Saira Banu shared that he had been facing breathing issues for the past few days. Every day Dilip Kumar’s fans have been pouring lot’s of love and prayers for his speedy recovery. Saira Banu has been sharing health updates, and a few days ago, she assured fans that Dilip Kumar is doing better. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion, and a procedure was reportedly performed on Wednesday to remove fluid from his lungs.

According to the latest health update, the veteran actor is doing well, and he will likely be discharged from the hospital today. Pinkvilla quoted Dr Jalil Parkar saying, “He will be discharged on Friday morning.” While there were reports that he would be discharged from the hospital on Thursday, looks like that did not happen, and the veteran actor will be discharged today.

Dilip Kumar’s friend thanked the veteran actors fans for their wishes. He took to the actor’s official Twitter account and wrote, “With your love and affection, and your prayers, Dilip Saab is going home from the hospital. God’s infinite mercy and kindness through Drs. Gokhale, Parkar, Dr. Arun Shah and the entire team at Hinduja Khar.”

After Dilip Kumar was hospitalized, his wife Saira Banu rubbished rumours of his death. She asked people not to believe in WhatsApp forwards. “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heart-felt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah,” she had written.

In spite of their age gap of 22 years, controversies, and health issues, Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu’s love story is an inspiration as they have always been by each other’s side, and still continue to do so even after 54 years of marriage!
