Saira Banu: Dilip Kumar is at home and recovering

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, in the recent past, has been battling ill health and his struggle has been going on for quite some time. Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu, who has been a pillar of strength for him all this while, has refuted the rumours of pneumonia and said that he is at home and recovering.

Saira Banu told Zee News, “He is fine and is at home. Someone has started this rumour that he is having pneumonia, but there is no such thing. He is just having a regular cold and fever. He is at home and recovering.”

The veteran actor was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital in early October after he complained of a chest infection. It was later revealed that the veteran star was diagnosed with a lung infection called aspiration pneumonia.

Dilip Kumar’s friend Faisal Farooqui who handles Kumar’s Twitter handle had tweeted to inform his fans about his illness. He wrote, “Want to inform you @TheDilipKumar has been admitted to hospital last night. He’s being treated for recurrent pneumonia. Will keep you updated”.

The health of Dilip Kumar has been deteriorating, but with the wishes of thousands of well wishers and admirers, the Padma Vibhushan recipient has been battling like a soldier and not giving up.
