While Dilip Kumar’s condition worsens, wife Saira Banu hopes for his recovery

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalised because of certain kidney ailment, and his condition is not good. The thespian is in the ICU, as his dehydration and urine infection has worsened. Even then, his wife and veteran actress Saira Banu is hopeful that with the help of the prayers of his countless fans, he would soon recover. We all remember how some time back, Dilip sahab was in the hospital, but he came out hale and hearty.

However, it cannot be said with surety this time, if the doctors are to be believed. The actor is admitted in Lilavati hospital, and Dr Jalil Parkar, the one who is treating Dilip Kumar, said, “His kidney functions have not improved. On the contrary, it has worsened. Well, till now the reports are same, though proper treatment of the actor is going on.

Amidst all this chaos, the sole ray of sunshine is actor’s wife Saira Banu, who has always stood behind him through thick and thin, giving us a love story beyond dreams. Banu gave a statement to PTI this morning, and said, “We have to pray he recovers soon. He should be well Inshallah! God willing. The doctors are treating him.”

Dilip Kumar has had an illustrious career which spanned decades, with his last appearance on the big screen being the 1998 movie ‘Qila’. He was honoured with Padma Bhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award, in the years 1991 and 1994 respectively. The veteran actor has also been honoured by the government of Pakistan, which bestowed its highest honour Nishan-e-Imtiaz, on the actor. He even launched his Twitter account on his birthday, in the year 2011.

We really hope Dilip saab is treated well and that he comes back home, healthy.
