Diljit Dosanjh gives a befitting reply to those questioning farmers’ pizza langar

The ongoing farmers’ protest in Delhi is gaining momentum with each passing day. Several Bollywood celebs have also come forward to lend their support to the protesting farmers and one of them is actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh.

Recently, a group of five friends from Amritsar served more than 400 pizzas to the protesting farmers. They came up with this idea as they didn’t have much time to arrange for regular langar. A section of netizens raised question over farmers having pizza.

Giving back to these people ridiculing the farmers is none other than Diljit. The actor had a perfect reply for those people who feel that farmers can’t have pizzas.

People have this unsubstantiated notion that farmers are supposed to be poor and that they can’t speak in English. A section of the netizens had raised questions over farmers having pizza at the protest and giving them all a befitting reply, Diljit shared a post that reads, “Farmers consuming poison was never a concern but farmers eating pizza is news.”

Alongside the post, the actor wrote, “Very good. It must pain your heart so much, right?”

A section of netizens also lauded the spirit and effort of the people offering food to the protesting farmers who have braved the winter and Delhi rains amidst their protest against the central government’s farm bills.

Coming back to Diljit, the actor has actively lent his support to the farmers. He had even donated Rs 1 crore to buy warm clothes for the agitating farmers.

The ‘Soorma’ actor had even engaged in a Twitter war with actress Kangana Ranaut. Diljit had called out the ‘Queen’ actress for diverting attention from the main issue and for misidentifying an old woman in the protest as Bilkis Bano.
