Singer Diljit Dosanjh has recently apologised to fans who fell victim to an online booking scam during his Dil-Luminati Tour concert in Jaipur. He addressed the issue with the audience, stated that his team was not responsible for the fraud, and urged his fans to be cautious while booking tickets online.

Diljit Dosanjh apologises over ticket scam

As quoted by India Today, Diljit Dosanjh said, “If anyone has fallen victim to a ticketing scam, I apologise to that person. We have not done this. Authorities are currently investigating the matter.” The singer-actor also added that he was surprised by the response of the audience as the tickets were sold out quickly. “Our tickets sold out so fast, even we didn’t get to know,” Diljit added.

Rajasthan Police on ticket fraud

Ahead of his Jaipur concert, even Rajasthan Police had issued a warning about selling fake tickets. Sharing the post on their social media, they wrote, “SCAM ALERT!! Beware of fake tickets! Only valid tickets will be valid for entry into Diljit Dosanjh’s concert. Only tickets sold by Zomato Live and Scope Entertainment are valid; all others are invalid.”

The post further reads, “Entry will not be allowed with fake tickets. Be cautious of fake ticket sellers and stay away from unauthorized purchases or sales. And share this information with Jaipur Police #DiljitDosanjh #Jaipurpolice.”

About the scam 

Diljit Dosanjh started the Dil-Luminati India Tour on October 26 in Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Many fans were disappointed with the online scam at the venue in Delhi as they found out that their tickets were fake. His Dil-Luminati 10-city tour post-Delhi was in cities such as Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and more, wrapping up in Guwahati on December 29.

On the other hand, Diljit recently announced being a part of Border 2 with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, among others. The sequel’s filming is expected to begin in November.
