After Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, now actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has come forward to donate Rs. 3 lakh to the wives of CRPF martyrs of Pulwama attack that took place on February 14. Diljit took to his Instagram handle to share a screenshot of his donation receipt to the CRPF Wives Welfare Association.
Along with the receipt, the actor shared a lengthy post. The excerpts from the post read as: “We can’t take the sorrow away but can try to help a little by donating. It’s our time to do something to help the families of our shaheed jawans in this difficult time. We stand with the soldiers and their families.”

A couple of days back Amitabh Bachchan’s spokesperson confirmed that the actor will donate Rs 5 lakh to each martyrs’ family.
Salman Khan also contributed towards the families of Pulwama martyrs. Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of State for Home Affairs took to his Twitter account to thank the ‘Dabangg’ actor for “offering to contribute for Pulwama Martyrs through BEING HUMAN FOUNDATION.”
The team of film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ also collaborated with Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP to donate Rs 1 crore to the families of Uri attack/Army Welfare Fund and the victims of Pulwama. Ronnie shared the news on his Twitter handle.
