Diljit Dosanjh’s manager REFUTES claims of non-payment to Dil-Luminati Tour dancers; says, “Our official team never contacted them”

Diljit Dosanjh is on fire both onscreen and onstage. The actor-singer – who recently starred in films like Crew, Amar Singh Chamkila and Jatt & Juliet 3, is currently busy entertaining his fans with his Dil-Luminati Tour. As he performs at sold-out arenas, a couple of reports surfaced on Friday slamming Dosanjh’s management for non-payment of dues to the tour dancers.

A couple of dance institute owners based in North America claimed that their dancers hadn’t been paid for performing as background dancers on stage with Diljit during his recent tour across the US and Canada. Now, Diljit’s manager, Sonali, has taken to social media to refute these claims. Read on to know what she wrote.

Diljit Dosanjh’s manager refutes claims

Taking to social media, Diljit Dosanjh’s manager, Sonali, shared a statement clarifying that neither Rajat Batta nor Manpreet Toor was ever contacted or involved in the Dil-Luminati tour. Calling out the false narratives being presented, her statement read, “Just to clarify Rajat Batta, Manpreet Toor and other choreographers who are making statements for Diluminati tour were never a part of the tour. (sic)”

The statement further read, “Our official team never contacted Rajat Batta or Manpreet Toor who are presenting false narratives on social media. Rajat and Manpreet were not part of the Dil-Luminati Tour in any way.” In the same post, she also added that the official choreographers for the tour were Balwinder Singh, Preet Chahal, Divya, and Parth from Vancouver. The statement also urged individuals not involved in the tour to refrain from spreading misinformation.

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Jab jab insaan mehnat se upar utha hai, usse girane gidad aye hi hai! We know the purity of the concert Diljit Dosanjh and his Team does! We are glad that this post came and there’s a proper clarity on the topic which was not even a topic! Looking forward to see the team nailing the sold out tickets in the UK, EUROPE and INDIAAAAA”

Another added, “They all milkin money from young kids using his songs like Naina and kinni kinni….. I doubt they are paying single penny royalty to Diljit using his music for commercial use” A third commented, “Kuch log tuhadi success dekh k jealousy feel kr rhe ne ta lattan khich rhe ne pr tuc aina sb cheeja te dhian na dao mam” One more simply wrote, “Keep your magic going don’t let anyone dim your spiritual light”

Allegations against Diljit Dosanjh

Recently, Rajat took to his Instagram and penned a long note claiming non-payment of dues during Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour. It read, “While we as a Desi Dance Community are really proud of a Desi Artist breaking glass ceilings and doing sold-out tours across North America… I still feel deeply disappointed that Desi Dancers are still undervalued as an industry. All of the Desi Dancers in Diljit’s Dil-Luminati Tour were not paid, and just expected to perform for free…”

It further read, “Desi Dance as an industry has become a lifeblood for artists and do a significant part in the entire ecosystem of the industry… while its choreography, stage performances, music videos, reels, to even promoting songs… It’s an essential part of production and it’s really disappointing to see an artist of this caliber cut corners by stepping on throats of Desi Dancer industry and continue to attribute to that culture. Diljit, we are very happy for your success, but your dancers should have been paid and been a part of the production budget.”
