Diljit Dosanjh to croon a promotional song for ‘Phillauri’

Everyone knows that Diljit Dosanjh is a fabulous singer. The singer and actor has already mesmerised the audience with his tracks up north and has also impressed one and all with the reprised version of ‘Ikk Kudi’ (from his film ‘Udta Punjab’) in Bollywood. And now that Diljit is all set to star in his next Bollywood flick, ‘Phillauri’, reports have it that he will render vocals for a promotional track for the film.

Diljit’s spokesperson confirmed the news and said, “The decision of Diljit crooning a number was taken a few days ago. He is yet to record the song. The track is a peppy romantic number and will have a video.” Says a source, “Diljit has proved his mettle both as a singer and actor. His reprised version of ‘Ikk Kudi’ was well-received, hence, a promotional song by him could do wonders for the film. It was few days ago when Diljit was spotted with rapper Badshah in a studio in the suburbs and we wonder if this collaboration is for the same song.

‘Phillauri’ will see Diljit playing Anushka Sharma’s lover. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on March 24, 2017.
