Clashing of films is not a new thing in Bollywood. Probably every year there is a release of films with big budget on the same day. This year it is set with ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani.’ Both films were ready to clash at the Box office, have faced a similar incident before somewhere else. Do you want to know where it happened? Here’s the answer.
The makers of both films had an appointment on the same day to show their films in Censor Board office. But this confrontation was prevented when the team of ‘Dilwale’ were not ready with the final print of their movie and therefore had to cancel the screening. Sources say, “The film’s producers were keen and insistent that they get an appointment for certification on Wednesday. We accommodated them. In fact, both Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani were scheduled to be viewed by us on the same day. Unfortunately, Dilwale couldn’t make it in time.”
Apparently, Rohit Shetty is taking a little longer with the automobile stunts than expected. “Lekin woh kya kehte hain? Sabr ka phal meetha hota hai” added the source.
Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali who have collaborated on ‘Devdas’ together had faced a similar encounter of this Box office clash with their films ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Saawariya’ during the festive time of Diwali in 2007.
So this time who will win the battle at the Box office is unexpected. The Countdown has already begun for it.
‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are slated to release on December 18, 2015.
