Be it an actor or a technician from the crew, accidents and injuries have been a part of shooting and we’ve come across several instances in the past. Recently, a similar incident happened on the sets of Sonakshi Sinha and Diljit Dosanjh’s yet untitled film. The director of this film, Chakri Toleti got injured on the film’s set. Reports suggest that this incident has happened on Wednesday.
According to a source from the unit, Toleti was explaining a scene to his actors Diljit and Sonakshi, and was deeply engrossed in it. The scene featured an oil spill where the two actors had to slip and fall. The director didn’t realise that the oil had already been spilled on the floor as the crew was still preparing for the scene; he slipped and injured his leg. (Also Check: Sonakshi channels her inner Kim Kardashian in this sheer gown)
After his fall, the shoot was halted. But, as soon as the doctors gave Toleti a go ahead to continue working, the unit resumed shooting after a few hours. Currently, the director’s leg is in a plaster.
While talking about this, director Toleti has said in his statement, “It was an unfortunate incident, but now I’m recovering slowly. We had to halt the shoot for some hours but with the support of the Sonakshi, Diljit and the crew, we managed to finish the shoot in the decided time.”
Reportedly, the film’s shoot is currently underway in Ahmedabad.
Talking about the film, it is being produced by Vashu Bhagnani and will even witness a cameo appearance by none other than superstar Salman Khan in it.
