Actor Ranbir Kapoor who is busy with his upcoming movie ‘Bombay Velvet’ co starring Anushka Sharma, stressed that film-makers and stories are more important now than the actors performing in those films. The Kapoor boy emphasised on the importance of good scripts and direction, and also highly praised the work of his co-actress in the movie Anushka Sharma.
As per sources , Ranbir said, “Today film-makers and stories are more important than actors or stars and I think that’s the way it should be. If I work with Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu or Imtiaz Ali, it is only me who will be benefited rather than me benefiting them.”
He further complimented Anushka Sharma performance “It was great working with Anushka. She has not been on screen for a long time now but you guys will be blown away by her performance. More than physical, Bombay Velvet is more emotionally challenging for me. It is a very intense role and I have never been in such a role ever before. But every role has its own challenges and Anurag is a delight to work with. This is a very commercial film. Classes and masses will like it. I hope people give Bombay Velvet a chance so that they can experience a fresh story.”
‘Bombay Velvet’ will be releasing by December, while the first promo will be launched after July.
