Gone are those days when trolls used to be funny. These days, they are personal, hurtful and often lead to a chaotic mess. Many a times, you must have paused and thought twice before posting a Facebook status or a Twitter update.
This is the same fear that often has actress Disha Patani in two minds before she writes anything on social media. The 24-year-old who made her debut with ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, says she gets nervous thinking her words could be misinterpreted.
“I myself get nervous when I write something on social media. I make sure I don’t write anything wrong,” Disha told a news agency.
“Sometimes what I want to say is different from what I write and it leads to misunderstanding. And that’s the time I get scared. But in India we have freedom of speech. And what I write is my idea and so it’s okay if people don’t agree with it,” she added.
The list of celebrities who have landed themselves amid virtual war isn’t short. It includes Rishi Kapoor, Ram Gopal Varma and Abhijeet Bhattacharya to name a few.
Disha surely does a wise job of thinking before writing!
