Did Disney threaten to sue Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor for ‘Jagga Jasoos’?

Anurag Basu’s ‘Jagga Jasoos‘ was not ready until Tuesday, three days before its release date. The director was left to finish off the post-production work and some sources from their team blamed it on music composer Pritam. A source revealed to a daily, “The film is an uninterrupted musical. All the conversations are also in song form. Pritam has, as usual, been tardy. Despite the fact that Dada (Basu) and Pritam da are best friends and neighbours, Pritam da has taken his time over the music. Bits and pieces remained pending until the last moments, leading to a situation of panic and chaos among the post-production team.”

Apparently, Pritam takes his own sweet time to deliver the music score of a movie. In fact, reports state that recently Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali had to wait patiently to get the perfect tune for their movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. Now if music composer Pritam is the real reason behind the delay, then the makers are in for a huge loss. (Also Read: Katrina Kaif to NOT be a part of ‘Jagga Jasoos 2′)

So, due to the delays in the completion of the movie, the primary producers Disney, have allegedly threatened to sue the co-producers Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor for breach of contract. Not just this, they have apparently demanded an amount of around Rs 50 crore for breach of contract. However, Pritam was asked to hurry up and deliver the music score in time.

Well, the movie is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow. Let’s hope that all the tension gets resolved then.
