The combination of beauty and brain is not only rare, but is always admired too. Actress Kriti Sanon, who has proved her mettle with films like ‘Raabta’ and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, is one such.
We’ve plenty of actresses who gave up on education too early, since a career in showbiz is demanding and asks for all your time and concentration. This includes sisters Kareena kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor.
Then there are performers who took time to complete higher studies and did it with enough importance. Kriti, who terms herself as a ‘padhaku’ girl, said she was not the one to leave things unfinished.
“I was very ‘padhaaku’ (studious), at least till the second year of college. I couldn’t sleep if I hadn’t finished my course. I couldn’t eat also. I used to walk and learn things. My mom is a professor and she used to help me make tests and prepare for viva. I was ‘padhaaku’, and used to get 90 per cent plus always,” she said. For those uninitiated, Kriti holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications.
“In college, you realise you can relax a bit. I was also multi-tasking between ad campaigns, attendance and getting my notes done. I got 87 per cent, which I am proud of,” she added.
Did you hear that? Studying in college is possible. 😉
