Filmmaker Sandeep Vanga’s ‘Kabir Singh’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani has hit a century at the box office. Yes, within five days of its release, the film has entered the coveted 100 crore club. However, the film has been receiving a lot of flak from some critics due to the glorification of its troubled hero.
And if the latest reports are anything to go by, then it appears that fresh troubles are in store for this Shahid Kapoor starrer. Yes, a Mumbai based doctor has registered a complaint against the film for portraying doctors in a bad light.
‘Kabir Singh’ is the story of an alcoholic surgeon and how he ends up on the path of self-destruction after his lover Preethi gets married to someone else. In the film, Kabir performs surgery while being drunk. He is a chain smoker, a drug addict and despite all these things, he is a top class surgeon.

In his complaint, the doctor has mentioned all these things. Reportedly, he has also written a letter to the central Health Minister, Information and Broadcasting Ministry, State Health Ministry, and the Censor Board of Film Certification requesting to stop the screening of the film. According to the complaint, the film is ruining the image of doctors by portraying them in a bad light.
Well, now it has to be seen, what the makers of the film have to say about these allegations.
