Does Shahid Kapoor blame Kangana Ranaut for the failure of ‘Rangoon’?

‘Rangoon’ tanked at box office, and much credit for the same can be attributed to the lead stars Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor, whose spats and fight made to the news before people could watch them romance on screen. The statements that Kangana gave and retorts by Shahid created quite an ugly scenario, something which even their fiery onscreen chemistry could not vanquish.

However, seems like this game of digs is not going to go down anytime soon, given that Kangana is already in the news for her ‘nepotism’ remarks on Karan Johar and the war of words that followed.

In a recent interview with a leading daily, Shahid opened up even further on the matter and took a few digs at Kangana, hinting subtly that he felt she was the reason behind the failure of ‘Rangoon’. He said, “Kangana has a thing for one-liners. When actors start engaging in this table-tennis match through interviews, the focus is then on the actors and not on the film.”

However, he even wished her luck and said that he hopes she gets along well with her other co-stars, which was not the case when they worked together at the time of ‘Rangoon’. “I don’t believe in publicising a film or myself through this kind of activity. I choose not to discuss my problems in print. Some discretion is welcome. I wish her all the best. I wish she gets along with some co-stars. It will be good,” Shahid added further.
