Today, on August 8, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar left everyone starstruck when they announced Ranveer Singh as the new Don. Farhan released the first look of Don 3 where Ranveer Singh is been shown as the new Don who will go take forward the legacy. Given the fact that Shah Rukh Khan received a lot of love and appreciation, fans are having a hard time accepting Ranveer as the new Don. Farhan Akhtar confirmed the replacement of Shah Rukh Khan

Yesterday, Akhtar shared an official statement, stating that the legacy of Don will be carried forward by a new person. He said, “In 2006, Don was reimagined and brought to life by Shah Rukh Khan in his own irresistibly charming way. From Don’s sardonic wit to his cool but menacing fury, Shah Rukh embodied his persona. As writer & director, I had a great time creating not one but two Don films with Shah Rukh and both experiences remain very close to my heart.”

He further stated, “The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have admired.”

Directed by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 is headlined by Ranveer Singh whereas the female lead is yet to be finalised.
