“I don’t take them seriously”, says Athiya Shetty on linkup rumours

Actress Athiya Shetty who made her Bollywood debut opposite Sooraj Pancholi in the movie ‘Hero’ has been linked to her ‘Mubarakan’ co-star Arjun Kapoor. Rumours were rife that the two are dating, but the actress shuts these rumours. (Also Read: London will be seen in an all new light in Arjun Kapoor-starrer ‘Mubarakan’)

While speaking to a news agency when she was asked about how she takes linkup rumours, she said, “I don’t take them seriously!”

She also spoke about why she took two years post her debut flick to say yes to a movie offer. Said Athiya, “It is not about being choosy at all. After ‘Hero’, I was waiting for the right script and when ‘Mubarakan’ came to me, I knew I would enjoy working on a film like that.” She says that she still has a long way to go before achieving something.

She also spoke about how star kids have an easy entry in B-Town, but it’s difficult to sustain. She says, “I won’t deny the fact that us star kids have it easy. I feel blessed that I have the opportunities, and I believe that it is your talent and hard work that really counts at the end of the day.”

Speaking of her role in ‘Mubarakan’, Athiya said, “I play a simple, fun-loving girl who adds madness to ‘Mubarakan’.”

‘Mubarakan’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz andKaran Kundrra in pivotal parts.
