‘I don’t think I’m prepared to play Sanjay Dutt,’ says Ranbir Kapoor

It was surprising when Sanjay Dutt made a statement that Ranbir Kapoor should not be a softie and instead do macho kind of roles in movies. Even though he was drunk and said it jokingly, it was sort of shocking to know what Sanjay thinks about Ranbir Kapoor, knowing that RK is going to play Sanjay in his biopic. Well, looks like even RK is quite uncertain about playing Sanjay Dutt on-screen. In a recent interview, Ranbir confessed that he is quite petrified to play this role.

He said, “I am petrified by it. A) I don’t think I deserve it, you know, to work with Raju Hirani so early in my life. B) I don’t think I’m prepared to play Sanjay Dutt on screen who is actually still looming so large. So, it’s a big responsibility and the good part is that I’m petrified. If I was confident, then probably that would be something I would question.”

This biopic of Sanjay Dutt is one of the most awaited films of the year 2017 as it would shed some light on Sanjay’s eventful life. From his Bollywood career to his addiction to drugs, to his name being embroiled in Mumbai blasts incident, everything would be a part of this movie.
