Double XL Announcement Video: Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi starrer loaded with fun, humour and a social message

The makers of Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi starrer Double XL have released an announcement video today. Double XL is a social comedy written by Mudassar Aziz and directed by Satramm Ramani. The film is produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films and Elemen3 Entertainment, promises twice the fun, twice the magic and twice the SIZE. It will release in summer 2022. The announcement video comes with a strong message on fat shaming in India. In real life, both Sonakshi and Huma have also been the victims of fat shaming. Double XL promises to focus on this topic in a fun and humourous way.

Sonakshi Sinha took to her Instagram handle to share the video and wrote, “Size Large… Sapne Extra Large! #DoubleXL (Weight) Wait ends, Summer 2022! #baatmeinWAZANhai(sic)”.

The film, also stars Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra. It went on floors in UK with almost a month schedule. Earlier, a source told Pinkvilla that “it’s a special script and the makers are expecting to leave a mark”.

On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have some interesting projects in their kitties. Sona will be seen in Reema Kagti’s web show, and director Aditya Sarpotdar’s Kakuda that also features Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. While Huma has Vasan Bala’s Monica, O My Darling, and Vinoth’s Valimai with Ajith Kumar.
