Ahead of Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann Khurrana croons a rendition of the Kishore Kumar classic- WATCH

Ayushmann Khurrana is a man with many talents. From being an amazing actor in front of the screen, he also has a sound musical sense. The artist keeps on showing the latter talent of his often on and off the screen. And he showed it yet again, and this time there is a special reason behind it as well.

Ayushmann Khurrana pays tribute to Kishore Kumar

August 4 marks the birth anniversary of legendary singer-actor Kishore Kumar. He is considered one of the most iconic figures in the Indian music industry. He has had a profound impact on every person’s musical sense in the country, including Ayushmann’s. To pay a homage to that influence and give a befitting tribute to the legend, Ayushmann posted a lovely video on Instagram.

The video has Ayushmann singing a medley of Kishore saab’s famous songs Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Dream Girl. The actor-singer has a quaint smile on his face throughout as he sings the classics as well as play the guitar in between. Along with it, he wished the icon saying, “Happy Birthday, Kishore Da! Your legacy lives on.” Coincidentally, the latter song has inspired the title of one of Ayushmann’s biggest hits. The actor is now all set to bring in its sequel later this month, Dream Girl 2.

On the work front, Ayushmann’s last release was The Action Hero. While the film got rave reviews, it didn’t perform well at the box office. Now, he is set to return to theatres with Dream Girl 2. The film also marks the return of Annu Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjee from the original. Ananya Panday stars as the female lead opposite Ayushmann. Dream Girl 2 has a release date of August 25, 2023. He is also reported to join Dinesh Vijan’s horror universe in a vampire film.
