Early morning shows of ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ cancelled in Tamil Nadu

While the whole country was eager to watch SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’, unfortunately the fans in Tamil Nadu were disappointed as the early morning shows of the movie were cancelled.

The morning shows of the movie were cancelled as due to some financial issue between K Productions (distributors of ‘Baahubali 2’ in Tamil) and producers. And there are also reports that the producers didn’t give clearance to distributors to have a show before 11 am.

A fan who was there at a theatre stated, “I am here outside Rohini theatre from 3am and it was so irresponsible of the theatre owners to sell tickets if the show rights were not there. There was a lathi charge and two people were taken into custody.”

Around 4 am police officials were there trying to disperse the crowd, and there was even a lathi charge that took place. Another moviegoer, who had booked the tickets for 8 am show stated, “Online booking was done by many of us, they could have sent a message about the cancellation. Such a waste of time and also I have not yet got the refund.”

Rohini theatre in Koyambedu, had put up a notice in Tamil that read, “Across the state of Tamil Nadu the release of the movie was not there and hence at 7:55, 8 and 8:15, the shows have been cancelled.” (Also Read: Even before release, ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ has minted Rs 19 crore in USA)

Moviegoers were even annoyed as they didn’t know the reason for the cancellation of the shows. Another moviegoer, who was there at the theatre with his family, said, “When we say the police and media presence we thought it was for security and did not imagine that the show could be cancelled. Why is it cancelled, anyway?”

Well, let’s hope everything gets solved and the people who wanted to see ‘Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion’ get to see it.
