Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan has once again been summoned by the Enforcement directorate. King Khan has been sent notice for allegedly violating Foreign Exchange Management Act norms.
The Kolkata Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd, which is co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta, is suspected to have violated FEMA norms by undervaluing its shares in a transfer deal to a Mauritius company.
Sources said, “Shah Rukh’s presence is required to conclude the investigation. Only after this the demand order and show cause notice against the said violation can be ordered. The agency has recorded statements of Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta in May this year. But Khan could not make it till now, as he is busy shooting”.
This is the third time that the ED has issued summons to Shah Rukh Khan, but he has asked for some more time to appear before the ED.
