It is often amusing to see how opinions on nepotism differ. But it is at the same time delightful to see that many of prominent B-town figures admit that nepotism, even if subtly, exists. But is it as simple as a star kid receiving his or her first break in the industry? What happens afterwards?
Producer Ekta Kapoor, who happens to be the son of veteran actor Jeetendra, has a rather different take on it. She  believes the true power lies among the audience who can either accept an artiste with wide open arms or reject him in matter of a moment (Also Read: Ekta Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar and other B-Town celebs are the #LipstickRebellion )
“I am writing it down that if the audience doesn’t want to see a star kid, they will throw him out like bad apples. The only thing is the day the audience stop having in their heads that they do not want to see a star’s child, the producers will stop casting them. So let’s do a bit of sharing of the blame game,” Ekta said.
“No one is here promoting a relative or a friend or a family member. No one really loves each other. Everyone out here casts someone because they think their film might get some curiosity value. But if the star kid doesn’t work, you never cast them again,” she added.
