Emotional Neena Gupta bids goodbye to Satish Kaushik who had once offered to marry her

Satish Kaushik passed away due to heart attack on Thursday, March 9. Satish was 66 years old. Several celebrities including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Sunny Deol among others paid tribute to him. Neena Gupta, who shared a good bond with Satish, shared a video on Instagram as she remembered the late actor. In the video, Neena Gupta revealed Satish Kaushik was the only person in the world who called her Nancy and that she used to call him Kaushikan.

An emotional Neena Gupta said in the video, “Friends aaj subah subah mein bohot buri khabar ke saath mai uthi. Iss dunia mein mujhe ek hi aadmi tha jo mujhe Nancy keh ke bulata tha aur mein usko Kaushikan. Bohot purana saath humara… Delhi mein… college days se saath… chahe mile naa mile. Nahi raha vo aab (I woke up with a very sad news. There’s only one person in the whole world who called me Nancy, and I used to call him Kaushikan. Our friendship goes back to our college days, and we’ve shared a long association, whether we met often or not. He’s no more now)”

The veteran actress added, “It’s very scary and very sad. Uski chotti bacchii Vanshika aur uski wife Shashi unke liye bohot mushkil samein hai… kuch bhi unko chahiye mein unke saath hu… Bhagwaan unko himmat de especially Vanshika (His daughter Vanshika and his wife Shashi, it’s a difficult time for them and I’m always there for them if they need me. May God give them the strength, especially Vanshika)”

Naana Gupta shared the video along with the caption, “Goodbye Kaushikan.”

When Satish offered to marry Neena

For the uninitiated, Neena and Satish were good friends. The actor had once offered to marry her when she was pregnant with Masaba Gupta. In her autobiography, Sach Kahun Toh, Neena had revealed that Satish told her if her child is born with dark skin, she can just say that it is his child and that they will get married. Satish told her, “Don’t worry, if the child is born with dark skin, you can just say it’s mine and we’ll get married. Nobody will suspect a thing.”

At that time, Neena had an affair with West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards and got pregnant with Masaba Gupta. The veteran actress raised Masaba as a single mother. In 2008, Neena married actor Vivek Mehra.
