Actor Emraan Hashmi recently spoke about the situation of Muslims in India and how they are treated well in the country.

“Given our situation in India where there are people of different castes, different religions staying in our country, we are doing pretty well. No major problems have erupted,” Emraan said. It was only recently that Emraan raised his voice when he wanted to buy a house in Mumbai’s Pali Hill, but the housing society refused to give him the NOC because he is a Muslim.

“I cannot comment on the flat status… can’t say that it does not exist or exist (but) it’s a great accomplishment for all the government bodies and everyone here that we are living in harmony to a certain extent. I believe we are doing pretty well. I would say that Muslims are being treated very well in India,” he said.

On the work front, Emraan will next be seen in ‘Raaz Reboot’ that also stars southern film actress Kriti Kharbanda and Gaurav Arora.
