Esha Deol Takhtani has recently launched her book ‘Amma Mia’ based on parenting. Esha is a proud mother of two daughters and she is spending quality time with her family during this lockdown.
In a conversation with us, Esha spoke about her newly launched book, lockdown, depression and many things. Esha gave a very valuable piece of advice to those who are facing depression. “If you are feeling low or depressed, there is nothing to be ashamed of. You have people around you whom you trust whether it’s your parents, close friends or partners, so talk to them. It’s just sort of chemical imbalance in your mind that is happening. You can get treated, and counselled. In the west, every second or third person has a shrink, Over here, people are ashamed. But finally, people are opening up and addressing and we must be there if we have someone like that in our family instead of avoiding or ignoring them,” said Esha.
People who are feeling depressed during the lockdown, Esha said, “It’s better to keep yourself busy and keep a routine. Keep yourself busy with family, read, watch films and if you have kids, spend time with them. We need to make the most of this lockdown positively.”

While talking about her book, Esha said, “I wanted to share my experiences of motherhood. I thought like me there are other mothers who are not being able to talk and also the book has around 200 recipes for kids and they are all tried and tested on my daughters. They are simple and easy and working moms can try these out.”
