While Esha Deol has always been in the hearts of her fans, the actress had been MIA from the spotlight for quite some time after her marriage. The actress is now back with her new movie Ek Duaa which is her first home production. In a candid chat with us, Esha talked about being away from set and said that she missed performing the most, “Once an actor always an actor. But in a middle, being a woman you’ve got to do things at the right time. So I stick by that. I dont know if I missed the spotlight because the people who knew me back then knew how much I ran away from the spotlight. I missed being on set, being in front of the camera and performing, emoting.”
Esha said that all through her twenties she was used to the set life. She would leave earlier morning for the shoot and return home by the end of the day. But once she became a mother to two daughters Radhya and Miraya everything changed, “Then I settled down in my 30s, got married and then babies happened. That’s also been a beautiful phase embracing motherhood, I think every woman should experience motherhood to its fullest. I had my second baby Miraya that’s when I wrote a book. On my first-time experiences as a new mother. That was again something I felt I wanted to share my experiences with all new mothers.”
When we asked her about embracing motherhood twice and if it was more settled the second time when she had found her ways through the sea of advice that is swarmed at you the first time, Esha said, “It’s like the rehearsal take and the final take. Very much prepared, especially your core people, during that time when the first baby is born you try and get the same people around. For moms like me who have had kids in a shorter gap, the first one is also small and your attention is going to the first one as well and then you have a newborn baby also. So we have to really be at it. That time is the most beautiful and most hard-working time for any mother.”
