Esha Gupta bags the leading lady’s role in Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Aankhen 2’

Say cheers to the woman high on her career! Actress Esha Gupta has bagged the female lead in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Aankhen 2’, a sequel to the 2002 flick ‘Aankhen’.

Esha, who always dreamt to work with Big B, can’t get enough of this happiness. “I can finally scream about this from the rooftops. Gaurang (Doshi, producer) and Anees had forbidden me from talking about it, even with dad,” she told Mid-Day.

The team begins shooting in South Africa in a month and will shoot some really challenging sequences there. (Also Read: Arjun Rampal says he wanted Akshay Kumar in ‘Aankhen 2’)

“This film will be a milestone [in my career] because it was my dream to do a 20-second appearance alongside Amit sir. Career high is so much better than chemical high,” she adds.

Confident about her ability to execute her career well, Esha knows she will take the film’s appeal a few notches higher. “This time, there are more layers, more secrets and it has me. My character is crucial to the plot and I am confident I can pull this off, she smiles.

The film also stars Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.
