Esha Gupta recalls SHOCKING casting couch experience, says, ‘They cannot do these things with star kids’

From Radhika Apte, Isha Kopikar, Kalki Koechlin to Zareen Khan, there are many celebrities who have opened up about their shocking casting couch experiences. Now, Esha Gupta has revealed that she experienced casting couch twice in the initial days of her career. The actress shared her encounter with a filmmaker who asked her for sexual favours for work.

Esha Gupta reveals casting couch experience

Speaking with SpotboyE, Esha said, “The film was half completed. When I refused, the co-producer told the maker that he did not want to see me in the film. What am I doing on set? After this, some makers even refused to cast me in films. I had heard that these people used to say about me that if I won’t do anything then what is the point of taking me in the film?”

The actress went on to add that while she was shooting outdoors, two people tried to trap her in ‘casting couch’. Esha added that she was smart enough to understand their intentions. She said, “There were two people who laid the trap of casting couch. I had understood but I still did the film because it was a small move from their side. He thought that I would fall into his trap during the outdoor shoot. I was also smart, I said that I would not go to sleep alone. I called my makeup artist to sleep in my room.”

Adding to that, Esha said that people cannot do these things with star kids because of their influential parents. “They think that if we need work then we can get anything done,” said Esha.

Esha made her acting debut with the crime thriller Jannat. She later appeared in films like Humshakals, Chakravyuh, Raaz 3D, Rustom, Baadshaho, Paltan, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, One Day: Justice Delivered, and Baby among others. The actress was last seen in the web series Aashram with Bobby Deol. Esha will be next seen in Desi Magic. Esha, who was initially supposed to be a part of Hera Pheri 3, earlier confirmed that she is no longer a part of the upcoming film.
