Ex-Lovers Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai to clash at the box-office?

Till now, we were gearing up for the clash of Khans on Eid next year. Salman Khan‘s ‘Sultan’ was supposed to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees.’ But, fortunately, or, unfortunately, this clash has been averted. Salman has decided to push the release date of his film and now ‘Sultan’ will hit the theatres in Diwali. But now, the catch here is that ‘Sultan’ will now clash with Salman’s ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan‘s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.’

Salman and Aishwarya Rai’s tragical love saga is not hidden from us. Since their fallout, we have never seen these love birds together be it on-screen or off-screen. But well, for all those who wanted to see these two stars together on silver screen here’s the news for you. We will get to see Salman and Aishwarya’s movie on the same day just that in different theatres. ‘Sultan’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar is a sports drama film wherein Salman would don a hat of a wrestler whereas ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ helmed by Karan Johar is a romantic film starring Aishwarya. One more twist to this story is that Salman’s not-so-good friend Ranbir Kapoor is a part of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ too. Since the time the love story between Ranbir Kapoor and Salman’s ex-flame Katrina Kaif has hit the headlines, the Kapoor lad has marked himself in the bad books of Salman Khan. So basically, it’s Salman Khan versus Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor. Who will win this battle only time will tell us.

Talking about the change in the release date of ‘Sultan’ we learnt that Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, who are back to being best friends, had a long discussion over their clash. Both of them felt that it’s not profitable for films of both the Khans top clash at the box-office. Therefore, Salman decided to give up on his favorite occasion of Eid and pushed the release date of his ‘Sultan’ to Diwali next year.
