The former beauty queen and the actress has just been a part of a couple of films like ‘Jaazba’, ‘Sarabjit’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ post her pregnancy. The Aishwarya chose family over career for some time as she wanted to be with daughter Aradhaya during her early days.

But looks like Aishwarya is back in business and just like old days wants to rule the tinsel town with her beauty and performance on screen as the actress will soon be seen in her next venture ‘Fanne Khan’ which also stars Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor in the lead.

But post ‘Fanney Khan’ what next? We get you an exclusive confirmation that Aishwarya Bachchan has indeed been signed for ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ remake. According to sources, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been roped in as the female lead in the official remake of the 1964 hit. The film is going to be produced by KriArj Entertainment who have bought the official rights to the film from the producer of the original film, N.N. Sippy. Sources close to the production house have exclusively confirmed with us that the makers have just got Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on board and are still to finalise the other cast members of the film.

Talking about ‘Wo Kaun Thi’, the 1964 film starred the yesteryear superstars Sadhana and Manoj Kumar in the lead. It was a psychological mystery thriller which was directed by Raj Khosla. The film also had The Cabret Queen of 60’s and 70’s Helen in the film. The iconic song “Lag Jaa Gale” was also part of this film. ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ has also been remade in Tamil and Telugu. Both the versions had the late Jayalalitha in the lead.
