EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi to finally release on THIS date?

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi have been ready for release for over a year now. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, the release date for the movie was pushed twice already. Earlier, ready for release in March, the film was pushed for a later release. Their second announcement had come this year after things seemed okay to proceed. However, with the second wave, everything was back to square one. But, in some good news now, we hear that the filmmakers are eyeing for Independence day release, finally.

A source informs, “With Akshay Kumar announcing the release date for Bell Bottom, the filmmakers are now waiting to see how the opening of theatres will be received by the audience. In any case, with Independence Day approaching, the producers and makers are of the opinion that Sooryavanshi might be a perfect release for the date. However, with Rohit Shetty in Cape Town, a final decision is yet to be taken. But, if everything goes well, Sooryavanshi might finally see the light of the day.”

Sooryavanshi has been mounted on a huge budget and is a film made to be played on celluloid. Keeping that in mind, Rohit Shetty and Co. have been trying to ensure that the film gets a theatre release only. The film is the third one in the action-cop franchise of Rohit Shetty. Earlier, Singham, Simba and with Sooryavanshi, Rohit is geared up to gift India its own acting franchise.
