EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar gets Pooja Hegde’s role increased in ‘Housefull 4’

‘Housefull 4’ had hit a major roadblock when Sajid Khan’s name cropped up in the list of alleged offenders list in the #MeToo movement. But the team was quick enough to come up with a new director to take on the reins of the comedy film. Filmmaker Farhad Samji was brought on board and the film’s shoot has kickstarted again.

The film that is a comedy version of period films (like ‘Baahubali’) will have several reincarnation scenes in it. It’s made on the lines of a period comedy- something Bollywood has never seen before. And we hear now that the makers are shooting the reincarnation portions, Akki has put in a special request to the team.

Our source says, “The film is designed as such that the actors are paired opposite different actresses in both the halves. While in the modern day timing, Akshay is opposite Kriti Sanon but in the war sequences and time zone scenes, he will romance Pooja Hegde. So he has asked the team to increase Pooja’s scenes with him because they have struck great friendship off screen too.”

Pooja’s career failed to take off after a debacle like ‘Mohenjo Daro’ so guess, she’s doing her networking really well. But we wonder what the film’s other leading lady Kriti Sanon will have to say to this now!
