It is no secret that Ananya Panday is part of a DSR (Digital Social Responsibility) called So Positive which aims for building a community to create maximum awareness on Social Media Bullying. Ananya herself has been on the receiving end of trolling on social media platforms. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress revealed why she started So Positive.
Talking about her So Positive initiative, Ananya told Bollywood Bubble, “I just don’t believe that giving back hate is really helping the situation. It is just making it a more toxic environment. I just believe that giving back love and giving back positivity just creates a kind environment, a supportive environment; is what I was aiming for (with So Positive).”
She further said that trolling happens to almost everyone and sometimes one finds it hard to share it with the right person. “It happens to so many young kids out there, it happens to almost everyone. So I just wanted them to not feel alone. Because when you are in a situation like this, you feel like you are alone and no one is going to understand you, you can’t talk to anyone. Sometimes you feel like your parents will not understand or teachers won’t understand. So I just wanted to create an environment for people to know that there are other people who are also in a similar situation where we can talk it out. Also, where they know what is the right way to get help. We’re developing a lot of things where you get contacts of the right people to talk to like guidance counsellors, the police. I just want to show people the way, the right direction.”
Talking about her most hurtful troll experience, the Liger actress shared, “For me, it is always been like when people say something about my parents and my sister. I think for me I can take a lot of trolling for myself and I have kind of become immune to it. So when it is about my family I get upset.”
The young actress also shared that she abuses a lot in her head as it upsets her immensely that people are saying unpleasant things about her family.
