Ankush Bahuguna told Bollywood Bubble, “Bachpan mein (During my childhood), I was bullied for my appearance. When your bullied for your appearance, phir aapka confidence tut jaata hai na. (When your bullied for your appearance, then your confidence breaks).”
He added, “Then, bade hone ke baad bhi aapko lagta hai (Then, after growing up you feel) and even now if someone tells me you’re looking good, I smile and say thank you. But I don’t believe them. Like it’s very hard for me to believe when someone compliments me on my looks.”

Ankush said, “My body image issues work like that. You know, this person is just being nice. They’re not being genuine. But sometimes, with makeup and beauty, I found a space where I enjoy doing it. You know when I put it ony self, I like what I see.”
Bahuguna continued, “And that’s what I believe, ki main aaj acha lag raha hun. So I think, the validation about looks and all, I actually believe it when I feel it and not when people tell me.”
