Music maestro AR Rahman is one of the prolific music composers of Bollywood. The singer has given us several iconic and beautiful compositions that one just can’t get over it ever. However, just like other celebs, even Rahman sir is often being subjected to trolls and online criticism. Speaking about battling trolls in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, AR Rahman said that he likes everything about it but thinks that hate is like acid that takes away empathy.
When asked about dealing with the hatred, AR Rahman told us, “I like everything. I mean if it gets personal and then you know any phobic stuff is worrying but also sometimes if I say something bad to somebody actually, it hurts me more than another person because our conscience is all pure. It’s the spirit in everybody all of us when you do something which is unjust when you say something which is harsh or hateful that person doesn’t suffer, you suffer. That’s the punishment, God is giving already to people, so I think hate is something which is like acid in your heart if you keep it too long, it’s going to melt your heart or dissolve. You’re going to be dead and your empathy and consciousness will go off. So, I personally feel like I don’t have space for that. I have so much of things to do in life that I can’t contain it, even if I have it.”

Even director Mani Ratnam spoke about the same and he said, “There are some things written about you and there are certain things written about you in a fancy way. The best is to ignore both sides of it. You don’t need to know the good and the bad you exist you try to do your best. You know where you stand and you know there’s a lot more to go, you know that the world standard is far above so you want to reach somewhere. At least take two steps forward that drive you, they will be good and bad that will be spoken at any time. If you can learn something from it, if somebody’s saying, somebody is being critical, if it strikes a chord with what you also felt and have not faced, then you take from it, if not ignore it if it’s going to be useful to me yeah, I’ll take it.”
In a candid tete-a-tete, Ponniyin Selvan: I director Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman open up on their first collaboration and how people claimed Rahman’s music won’t stand the test of time in the new interview.
