Popular television actress Asha Negi gained fame as Purvi Deshmukh in the popular daily soap Pavitra Rishta. She soon went on to appear in series like Fear Factor, Nach Baliye, and more. The stunner from Uttarakhand gained a massive fan following on social media. Her fans rejoiced when she made a successful transition from television to OTT as she marked her web debut with Baarish in 2019. Next on the pipeline was Anurag Basu-directed film Ludo. The movie fetched her critical appreciation. Then came the third season of the show Abhay 3 with Kunal Kemmu. And, it would not be wrong in saying that Asha Negi has come a long way today.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Asha Negi opened up about how she entered the entertainment industry. She also revealed all about how she convinced her family.
Asha Negi said, “So it was there that I want to become a heroine. I was like it was all about getting famous and dancing looking like those heroines. As I grew up on Kajol, Preity Zinta Juhi Chawla, it made me feel like okay one day I will be going to Bombay and will do films, dance like them and act like them. For I just wanted to be a heroine.”

Asha Negi added, “I remember once I was going to college with my friend and there was this pamphlet of Miss Uttarakhand that used to happen there every year. And I was like I want to participate and then I came home and showed it to my parents and told them that I want to go for this. But they did not react much as they thought she is always saying she wants to do this or that. But I was quite serious about it and participated in and won the pageant. This worked as a stepping stone for my career and I also gained a little confidence. I remember the guy who organised these pageants was quite close to me and I told him to convince my parents to let me go to Mumbai. But I had to starve myself for two days as they were not agreeing. Nobody in my family was agreeing for letting me go to Mumbai. So for two days, I starved until they gave their permission.”
