Bollywood is once again under the threat of the underworld. Unidentified gunmen shot at the house of Bollywood film producer and high profile events-manager, Ali Morani’s house in Mumbai on Saturday. Ali Morani is the brother of Karim Morani. The Morani brothers own “Cineyug Entertainment”, which has organised events like Indian Premier League opening ceremonies.
As per sources, three bikers fired five rounds at Ali Morani’s residence called Shagun in Juhu on Sunday night. The Morani brothers had previously complained about receiving extortion call from don Ravi Pujari. The police is investigating the matter. As such no one was reported to be injured in the firing.
Sources further added that, earlier it was Salman Khan who had received threats from Poojari. The Khan apparently got into a verbal spat with the gangster after repeated calls from Pujari. After Salman it was Farhan Akhtar, producer Boney Kapoor, actor Akshay Kumar, restaurateur and film producer Farhan Azmi and filmmaker Ritesh Siddhwani who have also received similar calls from Pujari.
Seems like Bollywood is always targeted by the underworld, the police should take some concrete steps to put an end to this menace.
