EXCLUSIVE: Harleen Sethi reveals reason behind viral Instagram boyfriend post that faced backlash

A month back, actor Harleen Sethi faced a lot of flak when she posted a few pictures on Instagram. However, it was not the picture but the caption that she backed it with. She wrote, “Cos roads have more depth than my boyfriends ever did”. This created a stir on social media where her ex-boyfriend Vicky Kaushal’s fans started bashing her for the same. Now, responding to the backlash from the netizens, Harleen Sethi narrated the reason behind the viral boyfriend post on Instagram.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Harleen said, “I was in Kathmandu, I was shooting for something and I was just I had an off day that day. It was just a random picture on the road and I was looking up captions on google. The mood was funny that day, so I was like I didn’t like anything on google that I saw and then this came to my head. I was like okay, let me only think and make something and then I saw road guide and depth and so I just joined these two-three words. Then this really funny thing came to my mind and I thought about it. One second and I was like, should I post it, will people take it wrong? Then I told to myself ki main logon ke liye jee rahi hu ya apne liye.”

“I don’t want to lose the sense of humour that I have. I don’t want to take life so seriously what’s happened, happened. It’s in the past, I’ve let it go, you guys let it go. I don’t care but like obviously I understand people need to gossip people to want to talk about something. Social media is obviously a platform where you know people are wasting so much time on. Then a lot of my couple of my friends also said ki kya zaroorat thi. I was like guys come on, in my life I’m not going to take one caption so seriously. Life is beyond, there is so much in life, I don’t want to take life so seriously and that’s why I posted I thought about it also, to be honest,” the Broken and Beautiful actor said.

Harleen Sethi further added, “Kisiko bhi mili hongi na uske baad bhi. The funny thing was I put the PS (postscript) also down that PS was also funny. Why don’t you see the funny part and just laugh with me? Why will I delete it? At that moment, I felt like doing that so in another moment, I don’t want to authenticate what I felt at that moment.”
