EXCLUSIVE: Harshvardhan Kapoor on pressure of being Anil Kapoor’s son; ‘People just assume I’ll be a certain way’

Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Kapoor made his acting debut with the film Mirzya. Harshvardhan, son of actor Anil Kapoor opened up about the pressure of being a star’s son. He spoke about how it all has worked against him in an exclusive chat with us. Harshvardhan even addressed the concept people have made about him and his behavior. The actor spoke about how people think he behaves a certain way because of his lineage without even knowing him at all. 

Harshvarshan Kapoor said, “You know, I think that there were some people that like kind of got on my side after Bhavesh, then after AK Vs AK, some more people got on my side, then after the spotlight, some more people kind of have.”

Kapoor added, “Because, what is happening is that they kind of are becoming more aware of the work, the choices, the personality, etc. Obviously, when people don’t know me, they just kind of assume that I’ll just be a certain way because I am Anil Kapoor’s son.”

The actor continued, “So I think, over a period of time, hopefully, I can keep doing the kind of work I am doing and change more people’s minds. But, having said that, there will always be a small minority of people that just decide not to like me because of who I am.” He added, “I can’t do anything about that and I have made peace with it.”

Harshvardhan Kapoor even spoke about battling lots, perception, and insecurities during his chat with us. 

Work-wise, Harshvardhan was last seen in the 2020 film AK Vs AK and the series Ray. He has been a part of films like Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Mirzya, Bombay Velvet amongst a few.
