Actress Ileana D’Cruz started her film career quite early in down South. But at the same time, she has also established her acting talent in Bollywood. The actress had made an impressive mark in Anurag Basu’s Barfi, and later on, she was also a part of successful films like Rustom and Raid.
In a candid interview with Bollywood Bubble, the 33-year-old actress revealed her take on social media trolling and surgery. As a celebrity, is it difficult to answer back to the trollers? Ileana says, “It is quite hard. Sometimes, I wish I can take all the screenshots of the DMs I get regularly where they ask me to get surgery to fix certain things. It is very hurtful and sometimes I feel like asking them if their mom knows that they are writing such nasty stuff. ‘Does your sister know that you are behaving like this?’ But then I thought it’s just a momentary thing for me but for someone if I put stuff out then it might affect someone’s life.”
Ileana also adds, “It is okay to doubt yourself but it is not okay to give power to people that say stuff like this about you. You need to believe in yourself and you have to be your own cheerleader.” It is remarkable that Ileana openly talks about her daily struggles with trolls. Almost all celebrities have struggled with this at some point but not all have been courageous enough to openly talk about it. Her story and journey will inspire and encourage a lot of people to have faith in themselves.
