Actress Ira Dubey of ‘Aisha’ fame will next feature in filmmaker Agneya Singh’s first feature ‘M Cream’. The films refers to itself as India’s first ‘stoner film’ and has been widely appreciated in a number of film festivals across the world.
Ira, in the film, is the leading lady opposite actor Imaad Shah, son of actor Naseeruddin Shah. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, she revealed what her character in the film is about. Her character’s name is Jayshree Bose, who is a Delhi based Bengali girl. She has just finished college and she is a very quiet and strong girl, who has a very strong activist inside her. She believes in causes and being a humanitarian. At the same time, she is young and innocent; she is someone who believes that she can make a change. Through a journey, she rediscovers herself.

“I think she is like any young woman who is the verge of that moment where she has just finished education and is longer being protected by her family. She has to enter the real world. She has to step out and make her choices,” she added.
The film revolves around Ira’s love-story with Imaad, who is addicted to hash. The two along with two other friends go out on a road trip where they rediscover life from entirely different perspectives.
‘M Cream’ hits the theatres on July 15.
