Ishaan Khatter on nepotism and trolls:
When asked if gets a sense of validation, Ishaan told us, “I wouldn’t say that I have been completely overlooked in that conversation. I think for me, I’ve always been somebody who’s been very…my own sense of self is very important to me and it’s very important that I feel proud of the work that I’m doing. I feel like somebody may be very impressed with what I’ve done but I may have not put everything into it or it may have not met its full potential and that’s something only I in my heart of hearts will know.”

“I’m constantly at the risk of sometimes overworking myself like after myself but that’s why I do it and that’s what I do it for like I don’t want to. I’m okay with anything but I don’t want to be mediocre at what I do so whatever I choose coming back to the conversation of choosing different genres and different tonally. For example, the performance in Phone Bhoot is very different from a lot of my dramatic roles but I wanted to find that don’t be sure of what I’m going to do with it and do it to the best of it my potential and what the film allows me to do. I just want to keep growing and exploring because I really love this and I don’t want my five seconds of Fame. I never wanted to do this for fame or popularity I think there’s something deeper to be found,” the Dhadak actor further added.
