EXCLUSIVE: Janhvi Kapoor on audience’s positive reviews for Good Luck Jerry, Mili: Now they’ll not judge or hate me right off the bat

Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most loved actresses of Bollywood. Janhvi made her acting debut with Dhadak and later appeared in films like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Good Lucky Jerry among others. Janhvi is only a few films old but she has successfully made a mark for herself in the industry. Last year, Janhvi delivered phenomenal performances in Good Luck Jerry and Milli. She managed to win hearts with her terrific acts. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble for the second episode of Trail Blazers, Janhvi opened up about the acceptance from the audience. The actress also talked about positive reviews for Good Luck Jerry and Mili.

Talking about audiences’ love, Janhvi admitted that she feels ‘people are warming up to me more’. She feels more acceptance now as compared to before.

Talking about the positive reviews for Good Luck Jerry and Mili, Janhvi said, “The reviews are great and they have all been very sweet but I don’t know I think I expect a lot more from myself. I would want and hope that the audience would also expect a lot more from me and I know I’m capable of also a lot more. So, the thing is that I shot these films almost a year ago and I knew that for that time I pushed myself as much as I could and I was happy with it but I think I’ve grown since then also and I want to do much more.”

Janhvi added, “So ya, I’m glad that they had a positive reaction to it. I’m glad ki at least abhi agar kuch kaam karungi they’ll not want to judge me or hate me right off the bat. I think at least they’ll give me a chance with an open mind and that much I’m thankful for. I think that much at least Good Lucky Jerry and Mili have done for me.”

Furthermore, while talking about gaining confidence from the positive reviews, Janhvi said, “Result se confidence nahin milta mujhe. I think experience karne se, process se, seekh milne se mujhe confidence milta hai (I don’t get confidence from the result. I think I get confidence through experience and learnings)” The actress went on to add that ‘in this day and age, you can’t value yourself based on the result because I mean and this might bite me in the ass to say but I think there’s so much machinery behind everything to make even agar aap rubbish bhi karlo (if you do something that’s rubbish) there’ll be enough noise to make you feel like you have killed it in life and you can kill it in life and there’ll be enough noise to make you feel like you suck.’

After winning hearts with Good Luck Jerry and Mili in 2022, Janhvi will be next seen in Mr and Mrs Mahi with RajKummar Rao. The actress also has Bawaal with Vraun Dhawan.
